Founded in 2006, Touchstone Projects Ltd was set to work predominantly in the residential sector for private clients and one-off residential developments.
Our knowledge and experience of the market, subcontractors and suppliers alike, within the Warwickshire area, from Birmingham to Stratford upon Avon to Coventry, has gone from strength to strength. We have an extremely good basis of local craftsman and suppliers offering their services to Touchstone Projects Ltd.
We have developed strong relationships with local designers and subcontractor’s with design capability to provide a one stop approach for clients and their building projects.
Our company philosophy is very much about planning out works to remove or minimise risk to quantifiable level, prior to building works commencing on site.
Our team prides itself as to the standard of our work throughout the build process, from material selection, quality of our craftsman so as to provide a high-quality finished product.

SERVICES.
Design and Specification
Touchstone Projects Ltd, in conjunction with the Client will prepare a briefing document outlining the Client’s specific details covering, the envelope of the building, internal finishes for floors, ceilings and walls, fixtures and fittings. We also provide specialist advice in mechanical and electrical installations, particular reference to sustainable materials and green energy, recognising carbon sensitive materials for the build.
A detailed design will be prepared during this stage in readiness primarily for the Building Control Plan Approval, including Architectural and Structural design and details. We have external consultants that we use on an ongoing basis which provide this ‘nuts and bolts’ service in preparing necessary details and specifications.
Procurement
Following a formal appointment and prior to starting on site we will set up a procurement schedule and programme for all trade packages and suppliers. The client will benefit from our long-standing relationships, with suppliers and subcontractors. Working with the client and their expectations we secure packages for various elements including.
• Sustainable service installations
• External Window and Door suppliers/installers.
• Material supplies -e.g. brick/block etc.
• Wall and floor tiling.
• Sanitaryware
• Dulux Paints, finishing.
• Kitchens, Supply and Install
Construction
This is when your project exists not only on paper but begins to take shape in front of you. During the construction phase, we will continue to develop the design and liaise with various statutory bodies as required, preparing Health and Safety Plan and setting up a safe site for operation.
We pride ourselves on our subcontractor relationships and the team we assemble for erection of the build from the foundation works to final finishing.
During the construction stage you will become part of our team and attending site progress meetings, observing our progress and assisting with your decisions as to finishes, fittings and the like.
Our goal is to complete the works to a high level of quality, to an agreed cost to and completion date.

Simon began his career at DGI International Plc of Kenilworth as a trainee Quantity Surveyor and obtained his chartered RICS status in 1995. Simon moved to Birmingham working with Silk & Frazier Quantity Surveyors, (latterly Faithful &Gould) working within commercial development up until Autumn 2006 when he decided to start up his own professional consultancy.
With his core skill in measurement, cost and value, Simon’s strength lies in the commercial management of buildings from inception through to project completion.
Simon has worked within the construction industry for the last thirty-five years both in commercial and residential development, working on prestigious commercial mixed use developments in both Birmingham and Bristol City centres, as well as residential schemes, both new and existing/extension(s) in the Warwickshire area.
Skilled in the procurement and management of projects Simon has developed construction management techniques and systems which has been the driving success of Touchstone Projects. Having worked and gained experience across all aspects of the industry, Simon believes that the management and integration of the craftsman and subcontractor early in the design process, working alongside our design consultants, ensures that concept becomes a working reality.
Andrew began his career as a Site Engineer with Tarmac Construction of Wolverhampton.
Andrew’s worked within the Construction for nearly forty years, moving through the ranks of Site Engineer, Site Agent, Contracts Manager for national building contractors working in the Midlands and the London regions.
Andy’s worked on numerous building types in his career and has primarily worked in high quality residential development, from 8,000 sqft individual houses to large residential developments.
His primary skill is his depth of knowledge associated with all trades forming the building works and clear concise manner of communication with clients, designers, subcontractors and suppliers alike ensuring for a harmonious and successful project.
Andy’s technical knowhow and understanding in construction technology provides a unique dynamism to the building process through design to on site management.
Craftsman and designers alike enjoy working with Andy with his refreshing and ‘can do attitude ’ approach to the construction of the building with his hands on approach.
